Bash - Appeal for Bangladeshi Cyclone 'ABC' - One Year On!
Following
the cyclone that struck Bangladesh during November 2007, members
of the local Bangladeshi community got together with agencies
and businesses and raised money to support those worse affected.
Despite this, the sheer extent of the cyclone has meant that
many people in Bangladesh are still without basic necessities
like fresh drinking water and shelter, which we take for granted.
With
this in mind, we are organising a final fund raising event
on Thursday, 16 October 2008 at Trinity Park, Ipswich.
This is expected to be the event of the year, including a
fine meal, fund-raising auction and musical entertainment
for over four hundred people.
I
am writing to you as a key person/organisation within the
Eastern Counties to ask for your support in three ways:
First,
we need sponsors for this event. This may be done in the form
of a cash donation or a prize for one of the fund raising
activities being held during the evening e.g. the charity
auction. Alternatively you may wish to sponsor a specific
aspect of the event e.g. the food, venue or entertainment.
All sponsors will be publicly acknowledged.
Second,
we need as many people as possible to buy tickets. Tickets
are £60 per person or £500 for a table seating ten people.
Third,
we need as many advertisers as possible; we therefore need
local individuals, businesses and organisations to come forward
and support this worthy cause.
For
advertising, sponsorship or to book your seat, please contact:
"ABC"- Mahbub Alam Shamim on 07968 121656 or Fotik Miah on
07838215147,email fmiah7@hotmail.com
Thank
you for your support.
Yours
sincerely

Mr Mahbub Alam Shamim
