HOUSE
RULES:
1.
Speakers at the conference are not permitted to
encourage or glorify any organisation or individual
who are deemed to be related to any form of terrorism.
JIMAS categorically stands against suicide and
targeting of civilians in any part of the world
and completely disowns any argument favouring
such atrocities.
2.
Speakers must not incite violence or call for
the breaking of any law of the land.
3.
Speakers may not spread hatred and intolerance
in the community and thus aid in disrupting social
and communal harmony. This includes speaking on
sectarian lines that further divides Muslims or
inflames public opinion.
4.
Speakers do not have permission to make blanket
accusations or generalisations against any race,
creed or nation. No Muslim group or organisation
can be attacked in a derogatory manner from the
JIMAS platform. In the same vein, speakers must
be careful not to insult other faiths through
the non-academic pursuit of language or discussion.
5.
Speakers who have not made prior arrangements
and contractually agreed to sell or distribute
any material at the conference are not permitted
to do so.
6.
Speakers cannot promote their own programmes or
projects outside the conference that are neither
organised nor hosted by JIMAS without the express
permission from JIMAS. JIMAS reserves the right
not to allow this at its discretion. Such permission
will only be given to established organisations,
preference being given to those who are registered
as a UK charity. Non-UK based organisations will
not be given any such permission as a policy.
7.
Speakers must not arrange private meetings with
groups of participants or organise any programme
outside their schedule at the event without due
permission.
