(Mayor of Ipswich 2003)

Jimas is a charitable organisation that was established in 1984. Among its core values are to work with the community to raise awareness about the religion of Islam and contribute to British society and its success. This theme was carefully chosen to foster all round better relationships with everyone. The event provided an excellent opportunity for members from different spheres of the community to meet in a pleasant atmosphere, to further strengthen and develop communal ties. A variety of Exhibition Stalls were on display throughout the day. In addition, there were a series of presentations with opportunity for comments, questions and answers. A free buffet lunch was also served.
