water-fall down rock-face

The "Islamic Mail” was absolutely free. We used to send bulk copies on request.

Purpose

The motivation behind the newsletter was to inform the Muslim masses about the basics of Islam. It is geared towards Muslims who were raised in this country, so it does not include too many terminologies and long footnotes etc. We think it is fair to say that the majority of Muslims have left Islam as a complete way of life, so this newsletter is part of an effort to educate and motivate the Muslims back to the True Religion, and to free ourselves from being asked on the Day of Judgment why we did not convey the message of Islam.

This page is only here for historical reasons.
The Islamic Mail ceased publication in 2006.

History

Islamic Mail was launched in the July 1998 and it is a free bi-monthly newsletter. The newsletter was and still is delivered through the doors of Muslim residents in a part of East London. In the beginning 500 copies were printed for door-to-door distribution. After some time requests from outside our locality were made. We then started to supply to universities, colleges, Islamic centers, masjids, and to volunteers who were willing to distribute it to their own communities. Currently we have increased our production to about 4,000 copies every two months.

Contents

The topics that are normally covered include articles on faith, acts of worship, social issues, question and

answers, and news articles. The articles attempt to inform, educate, and motivate the reader, as well as trying to counter some of the many misconceptions that are spread about Islam by non-Muslims as well as Muslims.
