Raindrops on autumn tree branches

Much have happened since the fateful tragedy on the 11th of September 2001. Many more innocent lives have now been gruesomely lost than that at the World Trade Centre terrorist bombing. It seems more human blood will be shed and a large mass of humanity continues to be visited by the careless wrath of those stirred to wicked anger. Those who destroy human lives and maim people can claim their right to do so as adherents of any faith they choose and in the name of all that is good, such as truth and justice. But it is clear that human lives are very cheap for anyone who seeks vengeance and power without true faith in God. This applies to individuals and governments alike. The lust for control and domination craved by those who seek to fulfil their greed for what others possess appears to blind their human conscience.

You can read our original statements by following the links at the bottom of the left hand panel. We still fully stand by them. However, if Allah allows us, we will write some clarification on the great importance Islam places on benevolence and the high regard it places on the sanctity of human life. No Muslim, let alone those of them who are involved in charitable work, can condone muder, injustice and harm on fellow humans. Oppression even towards the animals and the environment is forbidden by Allah.
