SIFRE arranged JIMAS to hold a course on "Islam in the Modern World" for the Workers Education Association (WEA) at the Westleton Village hall, Westleton, Suffolk. Starting on the 10th of January, a class was held every Thursday between 2.00 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. for 10 weeks until the 20th of March 2008.

The course was attended by over fifty men and women.

Besides typed out handouts on various subjects each week, the following books were also made available for free to each participant from JIMAS:
