GENERAL
- A
formal letter applying for funds that is signed
by hand. Emails or electronically printed documents
are not acceptable. This letter does not have to be
in any particular format and can be hand-written but
it should be addressed to JIMAS and not to any individual
in the Charity.
- A
letter of recommendation or a character reference
from a respectable member of society. This can be
anyone who is well-known in the local community or
a personal friend. In the latter case we need verifiable
proof of identity.
- Proof
of residence at the address, e.g., a utility bill,
driving license, bank statement etc., that shows that
the person indeed lives at the stated address.
- A
description of expenses and financial situation. This
is needed to evaluate how much to allocate in relation
to other applicants and the priority with which to
treat the application.
- Bank
statements over a period of time that shows the monetary
situation and anything else that makes this clear
e.g., creditors notices, council letters, legal summon.
These can be photocopies.
